Hey Stewart,
I am always impressed by someone who follows his dreams...and even does it for a good cause. I can't wait to hear all about the trip and see more pictures. Although it looks like a lot of work it also looks like fun. i am jealous. There are no five star hotels along the river right???
Half way Great! In Shawnee,Ohio, there is a nice state park with facilities right near the dock. It's about 22 milesdown river from the Greenup Lock and Dam on your Right Bank MM 363 approx. It sits back off the river in a little inlet with a sheltered cove. Stopped there to fuel up on our trip from Cincinatti.
Think of me when you paddle past Letart WV. I grew up there with my grandmother overlooking the Ohio River. Its just a couple miles before you get to the racine locks and dam
Good Luck Guys! Email me about doing a live Skype report at a Vergennes Rotary Meeting.
great story . You are my heros.
